What do you think of my poems?

Poetry is far more than simply writing down how you feel. That's impossible anyway because you can't put an emotion or a feeling down on paper, only words. Language is the only tool you have to convey an experience to a reader, and clich�s (and their evil twin abstractions) cannot do that effectively or evocatively. If you want your writing to be unique, then you have to learn how to use the basic tools of writing - imagery, metaphor, sonics, diction, strong nouns and verbs - effectively and evocatively.
