Beer stain on carpet?

hey guys, basically i have a really big problem. my parents are gone away so naturally i had a house party last night. a whole can of beer was knocked onto the carpet they are coming back tomorrow and the stain wont go away, not only that it stinks of beer too so claiming i spilt something else isnt going to work. ive tried using vanish carpet remover and hoovering it but it isnt going. please help my life is at steak!!
